THE LARRY NORMANS DROP SINGLE + VIDEO ‘COUP DE GRÂS’
Calling a halt to an indefinite hiatus set down a mere 13 years ago, Auckland four-piece rock juggernaut THE LARRY NORMANS returned to the studio recently to lay down new tracks for the upcoming album DIRTY LIVING, set to bleed your ears on Friday 28 July.
Having been put on ice since 2010, The Larry Normans are back on fire with original members guitarist Andrew Ashton, and drummer Paul ‘Bubs’ Stephenson, recruiting singer Nathan Rea and bassist Jonathan Bowen to instil some high-octane, down-and-dirty old-school riff-rock back into their lives once again.
Not for reasons of nostalgia, but more due to an unquenchable thirst to make some fuel-injected chunky-riff classic rock n roll, The Larry Normans hold tight to their cherished rock roots. Maybe slightly wiser than the early days but not much more grown up, this raucous foursome calls on all the quarters with their heated blend of blazing guitar, fuzzy grooves, and energetic garage rock.
The first track to break this lengthy period of quiet is the scorching new single ‘COUP DE GRÂS’, a searing return to form that sees these rock fiends once more unleashing their fiery brand of blistering rock n roll.
