RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘EVERYBODY KNOWS’

Kimbra - Everybody Knows

Two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning critically acclaimed New Zealand songstress Kimbra releases her brand new single ‘Everybody Knows’. The song heralds the arrival of her anxiously awaited third full-length album, PRIMAL HEART, [Warner Bros. Records] — produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, the Roots, Erykah Badu) and arriving early 2018.

Listen to ‘Everybody Knows’ HERE.

‘Everybody Knows’ reflects Kimbra’s penchant for constant evolution. Musically, it shifts from a hum of ethereal production into xylophone percussion and a whirlwind of electronic melodies as her voice transfixes at every turn, building from breathy to bombastic. The 80s-style beat leads into an unforgettable chant, “Now the whole world’s watching you.”

The whole world will certainly be watching her on PRIMAL HEART. She has quietly spent the past two years assembling the 11 tracks on this body of work with hit-machine Skrillex (‘Top of the World’), among other producers in Los Angeles and New Zealand. Stripping down Kimbra’s music to bare emotion and heart, the album invites listeners to experience the inherent vulnerability in her voice, conveying raw feeling throughout each song.

Kimbra’s voice seeped into the hearts and minds of listeners around the globe in 2012. She dueted with Gotye on the inescapable quadruple-platinum smash ‘Somebody That I Used to Know,’ which garnered “Record of the Year”and “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” at the 2013 GRAMMY® Awards. Moreover, she made history by becoming “the third New Zealand singer to win a GRAMMY®.” She confidently stepped into the spotlight on her second full-length, THE GOLDEN ECHO, earning acclaim from PasteLos Angeles TimesSpinConsequence of Sound and more.
