Indie-rockers PARK RD return with a new single, ‘Ride’
Tāmaki Makaurau indie-rockers PARK RD return with their first new material in over a year with, ‘Ride’.
The new single, ‘Ride’ is the first to be released from their upcoming debut album, which displays all the reasons why they are one of NZ’s most exciting up-and-coming bands.
Taking sonic inspiration from the likes of modern rock stars The 1975 & Spacey Jane, ‘Ride’ is a dreamy and playful slice of indie rock, showcasing the sound that has gained PARK RD an audience that grows with each performance.
Recorded with longtime collaborator Josh Edmonds and led by soaring vocals from frontman Tom Chamberlain, the track signals the return of an act leading the next generation of bands in Aotearoa.
‘Ride’ arrives alongside an official music video, directed by Connor Pritchard. The video brings the fuzzy feel-good vibes, complimenting the track while the band do exactly what the track says – “You make me wanna ride.”
Alongside the single announcement, tickets are now on sale for their two upcoming shows, first up is all ages in Auckland at the Tuning Fork on Saturday, June 10 and the following week in Wellington at Meow on Saturday, June 17.
