Eventide reissues the 2830 Au Omnipressor

The class 70’s staple in all high-end studios is now available as a limited reissue model. Featuring the original compression, limiting, gate and expansion into a single 2U rackmount unit with class A discrete transformer in and outputs.

With original units asking way in recess of $5000, the reissue looks to be an excellent opportunity to snag one of the most iconic and pioneering dynamic processors in history. The Omnipressor was the first external hardware dynamic processor offering sidechaining and parallel processing via the mix control.

New to the reissue model is the link connection, allowing multiple units to be daisy-chained together for stereo applications. The front switch buttons have been modernised as well as the rear panel makeover for modern studio connectivity.

Key Features of the Model 2830 Au

  • Dynamic Reversal & Infinite Compression: Like its predecessor, the 2830 Au offers revolutionary dynamic reversal and infinite compression.
  • Enhanced Connectivity: Equipped with modern TRS/XLR connectors, it’s ready to integrate into contemporary studio setups.
  • Modern Upgrades: Expect new features like linked unit capability, audio transformers, a universal power supply, and a backlit meter.
  • Historical Significance: A faithful recreation based on the original schematics from Eventide’s archives, it’s a nod to our innovative past and commitment to future sound exploration.
