The Vienna Symphonic Library (VSL) proudly announces the release of Synchron Wagner Tuba Ensemble, the final addition to the acclaimed Synchron Special Brass series. This release completes the collection, which now includes 11 Single Packs covering the entire brass family, from Piccolo Trumpet to Contrabass Tuba.
The Synchron Wagner Tuba Ensemble features four Wagner tubas recorded on Stage A of the Vienna Synchron Stage, capturing the instruments’ rich, noble tone in a symphonic context. Originally created by Richard Wagner for his Ring cycle, the Wagner tuba bridges the tonal gap between horn and trombone. Traditionally played by horn players, it extends the horn section into a darker, more solemn register while maintaining lyrical flexibility and blend. As a four-instrument ensemble, the Wagner tubas deliver a majestic, burnished sound that adds warmth, weight, and harmonic depth to orchestral arrangements.
