Universal Audio Inc. (UA), a global leader in audio production tools, has announced LUNA 2.0, a major update to its acclaimed digital audio workstation. The new version delivers some of the most requested features from users worldwide, including ARA plug-in support, Volt 876 hardware integration, hardware inserts, and an enhanced instrument detection system that makes session workflow smoother and more intuitive than ever.

In addition, LUNA Pro 2.0 brings a massive expansion with 15 new UAD plug-ins and instruments, plus full ARA tool integration. The result is a complete production environment that lets musicians and producers move seamlessly from demo to final mix with the signature analog sound and workflow that Universal Audio is known for.

ARA Support
LUNA 2.0 introduces full ARA support, allowing direct use of advanced vocal and pitch-editing tools inside the LUNA timeline. This makes complex vocal comping and correction faster and more integrated than ever.

Volt 876 Integration
The new update offers dedicated control for UA’s Volt 876 USB audio interface, including preamp gain, cue mix, and Assistive Auto-Gain features—all accessible directly within LUNA. These settings are fully recallable, delivering a unified hardware and software experience.

Upgraded Instrument Detection
Instrument Detection now automatically applies color coding, assigns warp algorithms, and adds track icons based on instrument type, helping producers stay organized and focused on creativity.

What’s New in LUNA Pro 2.0

Hardware Inserts
Producers can now integrate analog outboard gear directly into the LUNA mixer with automatic delay compensation. With one click, users can route audio through compressors, EQs, and effects units, and save these chains as presets for instant recall.

Expanded UAD Plug-In and Instrument Library
LUNA Pro 2.0 now includes 29 UAD plug-ins, virtual instruments, and LUNA Extensions—offering a comprehensive toolkit of analog emulations and creative processors for professional production and mixing.

Included ARA Tools
LUNA Pro 2.0 comes bundled with Celemony Melodyne Essential and Noiseworks DynAssist Lite, providing advanced vocal editing and dynamic processing capabilities right out of the box.

ChordAxe Lite (Coming Soon)
Also on the way is ChordAxe Lite, a smart MIDI effect designed to simplify chord selection and harmonic exploration. It helps songwriters build progressions and develop ideas quickly without interrupting their creative flow.

LUNA 2.0 and LUNA Pro 2.0 will be available for download on October 22, 2025, for macOS and Windows. The software is compatible with any ASIO or Core Audio interface, and no UA hardware is required.
