Drawing on their reputation for turning out feel-good tunes that speak to the masses,‘Don’t Wanna Fight It’ is a catchy groove reminiscent of the distinctive Kiwi summer sound that music lovers have come to know and love.

Not content with just one version, Tomorrow People have gone the extra mile, releasing the song in English (SpotifyiTunesApple Music), Māori (SpotifyiTunesApple Music), and Samoan (SpotifyiTunesApple Music) – in celebration of the band’s heritage and the diversity of their loyal fanbase.

“Te Reo is one of the official languages in New Zealand, and even though I’m Samoan by ethnicity, I loved the challenge of singing our song in Maori,” says one of Tomorrow People’s vocalists, Ken Saupese.

“Also to hear Marcus embrace my own culture and sing a verse in Samoan was a proud feeling. There’s definitely a first for everything!”

‘Don’t Wanna Fight It’ follows on from the recent release of ‘Lock Me Up’; with both songs laying the foundations for Tomorrow People’s upcoming EP, BBQ REGGAE, which will be first released at the One Love Festival on January 27 and 28, 2018.

The EP opens a new chapter for the Wellington collective, Tana Tupai, Avina Kelekolio, Marcus Abraham, Ken Saupese, Hamo Dell, Duane Te Whetu and Dan Sugrue, which emerged on the scene in 2012.

Their unique Kiwi blend of laid-back sunshine reggae, including hits such as Souljah Feeling’Feel Alright’ and Take It Away’, have clocked up hundreds of thousands of plays on Spotify, with the band establishing themselves as one of New Zealand’s most popular live acts.

Their debut album, ONE, released in 2012, peaked at #1 on the NZ Album Chart. Their follow-up EP, ONE.5, followed in 2013 and peaked at #6 on the NZ Album Chart. Their most recent album, BASS & BASSINETS, was released in 2015 and peaked at #1 on the NZ Album Chart.

They’ve also taken their music to the world, with tours across Australia, Tahiti, Rarotonga, Fiji, and Samoa.

Don’t miss Tomorrow People live, with shows coming up over the New Zealand summer including One Love, East Coast Vibes, Homegrown, and Mai FM & Demon Energy Summer Jam.
