The Brian Jonestown Massacre announce new album ahead of NZ Tour
“Something Else” is set for release June 1st .
This is first full-length offering from the Brian Jonestown Massacre for 2018. This is the 17th full-length release from the band & the style is less experimental & more of a harking back to the traditional sound of the band. Recorded between 2017 & 2018, this 9 track album will please old & new fans alike. In 2017 the band did a brief tour of the US East & West Coast & Mexico City to support the band’s 2017 album release “Don’t Get Lost” a relatively quite year for the Brian Jonestown Massacre.
“Hold That Thought” is the first single from the new album and will be released on May 10th on 10” White Vinyl.

Fronted by prolific outlier Anton Newcombe, The Brian Jonestown Massacre have ploughed their own fertile furrow in the field of neo-psychedelia, yielding an impressive harvest of fifteen acclaimed studio albums across twenty eight years, including the brand new long player Something Else, which returns to the classic swirling retro-hued guitars, washed over droning and hypnotic rhythms, and of course Newcombe’s trademark edifying and biting social commentary.
