SWIDT and a star-studded support crew are about to hit stages across NZ
Kiwi hip-hop royalty SWIDT are just days away from kicking off their first-ever nationwide headline tour and have today announced a talent-packed support line-up for their Auckland show on October 12.
Presented by Eccles Entertainment and Mai FM, THE MOST ELECTRIFYING TOUR takes SWIDT to Ubar in Dunedin on Friday, October 5; San Fran in Wellington on Saturday, October 6; the Studio in Auckland on Friday, October 12; and the Empire in Christchurch on Saturday, October 13.
SWIDT are being supported by Melodownz and illbaz at all shows across New Zealand, but to help raise the roof at The Studio in Auckland, they’ve also called on Kiwi party starters, Diggy Dupe, Church & AP and Seymore.
Diggy Dupe made his mark with the underground crew Kamo Collective before upping the ante in 2017 with his project K.O.T.I.C under Renaissance Music.
Up-and-coming rap duo Church & AP – who have been busy building their name on the Kiwi hip-hop scene – will also take to the stage playing tunes from their debut EP THOROUGH BREAD.
Labelled as the ‘Hype God’ of the Auckland club scene, Seymore is known for filling dance floors with his eclectic mash of music, which spans R&B, trap, funk and hip-hop.
Melowdownz and illbaz will also support SWIDT in Dunedin. Wellington and Christchurch.
SWIDT’s tour follows the release of their latest EP, THE MOST ELECTRIFYING, which has drawn critical praise:
“Not only have SWIDT proven their place at the top of NZ hip-hop, they’ve proven they have much more to say and better yet, why we should listen” – NZ Herald
