Solid State Logic (SSL) has unveiled Oracle, a new analogue console that promises to transform professional music production with its innovative ActiveAnalogue™ technology.

The system combines SSL’s unmistakable analogue sound with instant and complete recall across the console — solving a challenge that engineers, producers, and studio owners have wrestled with for decades.

SSL Oracle

Since introducing the SL 4000E console with Total Recall in 1979, SSL has been at the forefront of mixing technology. Yet one dream persisted: a large-format analogue desk that could deliver both SSL’s sonic character and seamless recall, without the downtime of manual reset between sessions.

The console arrives in an AWS-sized footprint but offers the power of a fully in-line large-format desk, complete with 24 or 48 mono line-in channels and up to 112 inputs at mixdown. Thanks to ActiveAnalogue™, every routing, gain, EQ, and pan setting can be saved and recalled instantly. This allows studios to move fluidly between projects in minutes, while retaining the tactile workflow and sound that analogue devotees expect.

Oracle also introduces a new sonic palette. Drawing on the harmonic drive of SSL’s PureDrive mic preamps, the current-driven busses developed for the ORIGIN console, and the precision of SuperAnalogue™ circuitry, Oracle offers a range of tones — from pristine transparency to rich saturation. SSL describes it as a blend of the classic E, G, and J/K consoles’ DNA with forward-looking design choices for modern workflows.

SSL Oracle

For SSL, Oracle marks another step in its mission to redefine what analogue consoles can offer in today’s hybrid production landscape. Long regarded as the world’s leading manufacturer of analogue and digital audio consoles, the company continues to supply tools to music, broadcast, live, and post-production professionals worldwide.

With Oracle, SSL is aiming to provide not just a console, but a future-proof production hub that balances timeless sound with modern efficiency.
