Musik Hack has released a significant update to SweetEQ, introducing a range of new features designed to expand flexibility while preserving the plugin’s straightforward, intuitive workflow.
The update focuses on giving producers more control over how SweetEQ shapes audio, without complicating the user experience. Whether you are refining a mix or experimenting with creative processing, the new additions aim to keep things fast, musical, and reliable.
One of the standout improvements is the introduction of new Bandpass Filter Modes. These allow users to define the frequency range where SweetEQ operates, without fully removing highs or lows. The result is more targeted processing that retains the overall balance of a sound.

Musik Hack has also expanded clipping options, offering greater tonal control depending on the material. Combined with new mid/side capabilities and stereo imaging enhancements, the update opens up more creative possibilities while maintaining phase integrity.
Importantly, all processing remains parallel. This ensures users can adjust parameters freely, with confidence that phase and mono compatibility are preserved.
Key Features
- New Bandpass Filter Modes for focused processing without fully cutting highs or lows
- Hybrid filtering for blending and shaping without undoing existing cuts
- Expanded Clip Out Modes including soft clip, hard clip, and clip off
- Mid/Side Mix Mode for targeted processing of center or side signals
- Stereo imaging enhancements with phase-coherent, mono-safe widening
- Fully parallel processing for flexible adjustments without phasing issues
The updated mid/side workflow is particularly useful for shaping the stereo field. By toggling from stereo to mid/side mode, users can apply processing selectively to the center or sides, making it easier to enhance width or focus key elements in a mix.
For mono to stereo instances, SweetEQ now enables phase-coherent stereo imaging when working in mid/side mode. This allows users to introduce width while maintaining compatibility in mono playback environments.
